As the Mosaic Community continues to form, a central value we desire to celebrate is the diversity of our neighborhoods, and the ability for the love of God to build bridges, and unify in the midst of our unique differences. Join us this Sunday for a special international brunch as we celebrate our uniqueness and unity. Mosaic will gather outdoors in the All Saints gardens @10:30AM for a shortened outdoor family friendly Mosaic service with brunch immediately following, featuring a diverse array of cuisine.

Matthew spearheads urban pastoral training and education through the City Ministry Program, an innovative and integrated learning environment that blends the strong biblical and theological study with true-to-life ministry expertise. After finishing his academic work Matthew served for fifteen years in a range of pastoral roles, the last ten here in NYC. He was the pastor of The First Baptist Church in the City of New York for eight years, and came to CTC after helping to launch Mosaic Church, an ECC plant in Sunnyside, Queens. Matthew and his wife Kimberly live in Brooklyn with their five children. In his spare time he writes music, runs marathons, and coaches baseball.

Michael is the Senior and planting pastor of Promised Land Covenant Church, a missional church in the North and South Bronx. He also serves Redeemer City to City, recruiting and training church planters in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Staten Island and Queens. He has 25 years of experience in urban ministry, with specific focus and gifting in urban church planting, designing and leading urban charter schools and launching national social justice movements. Michael has received national recognition from the US Government for his work in urban centers, specifically throughout New York City, and has consulted for a variety of church- and faith-based organizations.

A Day Alone with God (Postponed)
Join us next Saturday, August 22nd for a morning of exploring contemplative prayer and hearing from God. Stefanie Peters will lead us through short practices of silence, contemplative prayer, journaling, and common blocks to experiencing God's presence. We will be outside at Southpoint Park, together but socially distant! Sign up, space is limited.

Dan White Jr is a full-time consultant and coach with the V3 Movement. He co-founded The Praxis Gathering: A Yearly Conference for Innovation and Immersion in Discipleship. Dan’s most recent book is Love Over Fear: Facing Monsters, Befriending Enemies, & Healing Our Polarized World (Moody Pub) He’s also written Subterranean (Cascade) and co-authored the award winning The Church as Movement (InterVarsity Press). Mosaic Roosevelt Island and West Queens gather together at the end of the week to recenter our hearts and minds around God's love for us. Mosaic West Queens is LAUNCHING on Sunday, January 26th! In honor of this event we will be loading up on a charter bus to join the fun. Plan on being to 543 Main St by 9:30am to be picked up and transported to Sunnyside for their first official Sunday service. Celebrate after with lunch and salsa dancing! The bus will return to the island around 1pm. You don't want to miss this historic event in the life of our church!
